Donors line up to give blood in Las Vegas after mass shooting

Photos posted on Twitter on Monday morning showed lines out the door of people waiting to donate blood after a gunman opened fire on the Las Vegas Strip, killing 50 people and injuring more than 400.

At least one blood bank had a 5-hour-long line.

Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo urged residents to donate blood during a press conference, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department tweeted information on where to donate.

Stephen Paddock, the alleged gunman, opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest music festival late Sunday. Police later found Paddock dead in his hotel room.

President Trump said he would visit the city Wednesday during televised remarks to the nation, in which he called the attack “pure evil.”
