WATCH: Rittenhouse declares intention to sue LeBron James

Kyle Rittenhouse announced Tuesday that he intends to file suit against NBA superstar LeBron James.

“He’ll be getting a letter, too,” Rittenhouse, 19, told Drew Hernandez, host of Frontlines.

“Anybody who defamed me, or lied about me, we’re just gonna send them a letter and then deal with them in a courtroom.”

Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all charges in the homicide trial against him on Nov. 19, 2021, and he has stated that his actions, which led to his trial, were necessary for his self-defense.

During the trial, James, a four-time NBA champion, ridiculed Rittenhouse for crying on the stand.

“What tears????? I didn’t see one,” James tweeted. “Man knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court.”

The tweet was referencing the emotional episode the teenager had while testifying about the incident in Kenosha, Wisconsin, that led him to shoot three men in self-defense, killing two of them.

Rittenhouse said he wants to hold the people who defamed him accountable and has spoken on launching his Media Accountability Project “to help fundraise and hold the media accountable for the lies they say and deal with them in court.”

One other target for legal action is The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg.

“Well,” he said in a recent interview, “right now, we’re looking at quite a few politicians, celebrities, athletes. Whoopi Goldberg is on the list. She called me a murderer after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers.”

Another is political commentator Cenk Uygur, Rittenhouse said.

“Don’t forget about Cenk from The Young Turks, he called me a murderer before the verdict and continues to call me a murderer.”
