WHO: Rep. Robert Brady, D-Pa., chairman of the House Administration Committee.
WHAT: When members of Congress lose (or steal) Congressional property in excess of $500, they are supposed to pay for it themselves. But Brady has allowed all 12 members of Congress who requested waivers to burden taxpayers with the resulting expense.
WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: Most managers would lose their jobs if they oversaw an office that lost $1,800 worth of office equipment. But the unnamed Member of Congress who did so got to have taxpayers pick up the bill, according to Politico.
WHERE TO VENT: Brady’s office, (202) 225-4731
