“Saturday Night Live” was back this Saturday with a spoof of the 1994 film “Forrest Gump,” with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, played by Kate McKinnon, sitting on a bench talking to random people similar to several scenes in the movie in which Gump, a slow-witted Alabamian, talks about the fantastic accomplishments in his life.

McKinnon spoke about a range of topics, from a photo of Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway kneeling on an Oval Office couch that sparked a storm of Twitter mocking, to Session’s recusal from any campaign-related cases after it was revealed that he didn’t disclose to his Senate confirmation panel communications with a Russian envoy during the election season.

The show also took a jab at old allegations of racism made against Sessions in the mid-1980s that contributed to him losing out on a federal judgeship.
Using a famous quote from “Forrest Gump,” McKinnon said to a black woman also sitting on the bench, “Life is like a box of chocolate. There sure are a lot of brown ones in there.”
After a visit from Russian President Vladimir Putin (played by SNL’s Beck Bennett), McKinnon was met by this week’s host Octavia Spencer, reprising her role from the 2011 film adaption of “The Help” as Minnie Jackson, a black maid working in Jackson, Miss., in the 1960s.
She offered McKinnon what on the surface seemed like a chocolate pie, but for those who have read the book or seen the movie, would know it is really a “special pie” baked with Minny’s own excrement given to her racist former white employer who treated her badly.
“Hey, is this what I think it is?”, McKinnon asked.
“It is,” Spencer replied.
“Mmm my favorite,” McKinnon said before taking a bite queuing the opening credits.
