Watch Mitt Romney zing Obama with a chain email joke

Barack Obama’s got the mom jeans. Mitt Romney’s got the dad jokes.

Just remember — you chose, America.

The former Republican presidential nominee swung through Iowa this weekend to campaign for Senate candidate Joni Ernst, and he used a portion of his speaking time to warm up the crowd.

“I got this on the Internet from a family member,” Romney began, at which point you could imagine 50 email addresses on the “cc” line.

The zinger includes golfer Phil Mickelson, retired tennis player Andre Agassi, the president, a bank teller, and the crowd stepping on Romney’s punchline.

But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t well-received.

Romney’s intentional comedy went over better than Michelle Obama’s unintentional comedy, when the First Lady mispronounced the name of Ernst’s challenger, Rep. Bruce B-r-a-l-e-y, “six or seven times” during an Iowa campaign stop Friday.
