By The Numbers: Woodward’s studio for sale

$215,000: Listing price for what was once Bob Woodward‘s studio apartment in the Webster House in Dupont Circle during the Watergate era. When Woodward would want to meet with Deep Throat, aka. Mark Felt, he would put a flag in a potted plant on the balcony of Apartment No. 617 on 1718 P St. NW. Felt would initiate contact by circling page 20 in Woodward’s New York Times and draw clock hands on the lower portion of the page to signal the time, according to an article on UrbanTurf.com. The listing incorrectly states the the pad was where Felt once lived, not Woodward, and makes it sound like it needs a lot of work. “This is a shell and ready for your creativity,” the listing states.
