Club for Growth rips Trump as a liberal taxer

Front-running Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s long support for taxes on imports and the wealthy are being called out by the anti-tax group Club for Growth in a new video montage of the candidate’s positions.

The video highlights Trump’s populist bid for a 14 percent tax boost on those who make $10 million or more and his advocacy for a 35 percent tax on cars and trucks imported into the United States and a 25 percent tax on goods imported from China.

“We thought it might be time to offer Donald Trump some pro-growth advice,” said Club for Growth president David McIntosh: “Stop calling for higher taxes and admit you were wrong ALL those times that you did.”
