RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A manufacturer of high-accuracy instrumentation and software is planning to expand its Virginia presence, creating 40 jobs.
Gov. Bob McDonnell said Tuesday that Aeroprobe Corporation will invest $2.2 million initially and $3 million over five years to move its headquarters from Blacksburg to Christiansburg and locate a manufacturing operation there.
Aeroprobe will construct a 20,000-square-foot facility in Montgomery County. The facility will be expandable up to 40,000-square-feet. A few months ago, it announced the addition of a new high-speed wind tunnel to its satellite facility in Blacksburg.
The company’s products have been used by customers such as GE, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Volvo, Toyota, Honda, and Dresser-Rand.
