Days after Tesla’s valuation exploded on news of Chinese expansion and a promising earnings call, CEO Elon Musk released an airy music track to Soundcloud titled Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe.
“Don’t doubt your vibe / because it’s you,” sings Musk through an atmospheric robotic filter that sits comfortably behind a four-to-the-floor pulsing electronic beat.
Musk, 48, tweeted photos of him in a studio after teasing the release of the track earlier in the day with a tweet that read: “Just wrote a song called ‘Don’t doubt yer vibe.'”
The South African native has been in a celebratory mood recently as Tesla shares skyrocketed after the release of the Cybertruck, even though the truck’s “bullet-proof” windows were shattered during a high-profile rollout of the car. The truck is a minimalist all-electric battery-powered light vehicle, which analysts believe could net Tesla $4.5 billion in sales by 2025.
Musk was lampooned in the media after he smoked marijuana on the Joe Rogan Experience and said he would take Tesla private at a valuation of $420 per share. Almost two years later, Tesla sat at $640 per share at the closing bell on Thursday.
