Students nationwide will compete in Baltimore County?s first collegiate sailing regatta Saturday and Sunday at Rocky Point Park in Essex. The UMBC Open is sanctioned by the Middle-Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association.
The participants are Loyola College, the Naval Academy, University of Pennsylvania, Penn State, Princeton, University of Delaware, Drexel, Villanova, Monmouth College, Ocean County College, Washington College and University of Maryland, Baltimore County. The competition highlights the county?s 77 marinas? and yacht clubs? contribution to the county?s economy ? estimated at $226 million, according to county officials
