“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!” Trump said on Truth Social.
“Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,” Vance said on X.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said, “Charlie Kirk was an American patriot, an inspiration to countless young people to stand up and defend the timeless truths that make our country great. This murder was a cowardly act of violence, an attack on champions of freedom like Charlie, the students who gathered for civil debate, and all Americans who peacefully strive to save our nation.”
“The terrorists will not win. Charlie will. Please join me in praying for his wife Erika and their children. May justice be swift,” Lee added.
Rep. Dr. Bob Onder (R-MO) said, “Charlie is a martyr.”

One of the most important and influential conservative Christian voices in America and the world, he changed hearts and minds toward truth and righteousness.”
“Tracy and I are praying for his family and friends during this unspeakably hard time. We have lost a true warrior. It is a tragic day in America,” Self said.

Charlie was a tireless leader for young conservatives and a voice for freedom, faith, and the values that make America strong. Our prayers are with his wife, family, and the entire Turning Point community as they grieve this devastating loss. Political disagreement is the lifeblood of a free republic; political violence is its negation,” read a statement from the College Republicans of America.

Former President George W. Bush released a statement on X: “Today, a young man was murdered in cold blood while expressing his political views. It happened on a college campus, where the open exchange of opposing ideas should be sacrosanct. Violence and vitriol must be purged from the public square. Members of other political parties are not our enemies; they are our fellow citizens. May God bless Charlie Kirk and his family, and may God guide America toward civility.”
Former President Bill Clinton also said on X, “I’m saddened and angered by Charlie Kirk’s murder.
