DHS reveals Afghan national admitted through Biden’s Operation Allies Welcome arrested for terroristic threat

An Afghan national brought into the United States as part of the Biden administration‘s efforts was arrested after making a terroristic threat on social media.

Mohammad Dawood Alokozay was arrested one day before the fatal National Guard shooting in Washington, D.C., by another Afghan national. Alokozay was brought to the attention of authorities after posting a video on TikTok where he threatened to use a bomb to blow up a building in Fort Worth, Texas.

“Mohammad Dawood Alokozay posted a video of himself on TikTok indicating he was building a bomb with an intended target of the Fort Worth area. He was arrested on Tuesday by the Texas Department of Public Safety and FBI JTTF and charged with making Terroristic Threats,” Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin posted on X.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also highlighted the arrest.

“The magnitude of the national security crisis Joe Biden unleashed on our country over the span of four years cannot be overstated. President Trump has directed his entire team to continue rooting out this evil within our borders,” she posted on X.

WHAT DROVE THE DC SHOOTER?

Alokozay was admitted as a lawful permanent resident in the U.S. on Sept. 7, 2022, as part of the Biden administration’s effort to resettle Afghans fleeing their home country after the Taliban took over. U.S. officials at the time feared retaliation against Afghans who helped U.S. forces during the two-decade war.

The shooting of two National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., by an Afghan national who worked with the CIA sparked renewed outrage against the resettling of Afghans in the U.S. after the war.
