Moss likely to play in Philly

The Redskins survived one game without star wide receiver Santana Moss. It looks like they won’t have to survive another one.

Moss, battling an injured left hamstring, was upgraded to probable Friday after practicing the past three days in preparation for Sunday’s game at Philadelphia. However, Redskins coach Joe Gibbs said they would likely make a final decision on his status before the 1 p.m. game.

“We’ll just see how he feels to make a final decision,” Gibbs said. “He looked good. He’s increased his work every day. I talked to him for a while this morning and I think he feels good. … I didn’t think this week would go as well for him as it did.”

Moss did not play in Sunday’s 22-19 win over Dallas, expressing fear that he would hurt his injured left hamstring even more and sideline him for an extended period. But he has expressed mostly optimism about his recovery this week, increasing his repetitions in practice each day.

Moss leads Washington with 28 receptions for 435 yards and three touchdowns.

Also, tight end Christian Fauria (ankle) was upgraded to probable. Fauria injured hisankle in the win over Dallas and did not practice until Friday.
