Poll: Republicans dissatisfied with party efforts, feel betrayed

A recent Fox poll shows that political outsiders are doing well in the GOP primary. It also may explain why that is.

GOP primary voters were asked, since the 2014 midterm elections, if they thought Republicans had “done all they could to block or reverse Barack Obama’s agenda.” Only 30 percent said yes, while 66 percent said no.

As to why that is, 38 percent answered that “they would rather fight each other.” And 28 percent said “they didn’t really want to block Obama’s agenda.”

Overall, 51 percent of respondents said they have felt betrayed by their party. For Republicans though, that number jumped to 62 percent who felt betrayed. Only 40 percent of Democrats did.

With such results, it’s no wonder that the political outsiders are faring so well, or that candidates would be claiming to be outsiders in whatever ways they could.
