ABILENE, Texas (AP) — Four teenagers face felony criminal mischief charges after a BB guns vandalism spree in West Texas damaged dozens of vehicles.
Abilene police report more than 100 victims have come forward to report property damage since last week.
Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of two 17-year-olds and two juveniles in connection with damage estimated at more than $20,000. Police say several BB guns have been seized in the investigation of incidents that began with vandalism on July 22.
Taylor County jail records show Taquan Donte Brown and Jarron O’Shea Barnett of Abilene were booked Friday and freed on $2,500 bonds. Online jail records do not list attorneys for the pair.
Details were not immediately released about the two minors who were detained. They’re only identified as teenage juveniles.
