House Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged voters to pay no attention to President Trump when it comes to the integrity of the upcoming election.
“I have a motto. We don’t agonize, we organize,” the California Democrat told MSNBC host Craig Melvin on Monday. “I tell people, don’t pay any attention to him because he either doesn’t know what he’s talking about or doesn’t care that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. The fact that he would persuade people that their vote doesn’t count tells you everything you need to know and then more about this president, but forget him.”

Trump has been critical of mass mail-in voting during the coronavirus pandemic, warning of the potential for widespread fraud, and at a campaign event in Nevada over the weekend, he accused Democrats of trying to rig the election.
Pelosi called on lawmakers and the media to move forward on key issues, including the health crisis and election security, instead of focusing on what Trump is saying.
She also accused Trump of embracing foreign interference from Russia in the upcoming election.
Earlier this year, the U.S. intelligence community warned China, Russia, and Iran are seeking to influence the 2020 election. That assessment, released in August by Bill Evanina, who leads the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, said Russia is “using a range of measures to primarily denigrate” Biden. The same report said China wants Trump to lose reelection and that the Iran regime is seeking to undermine his presidency.
“The president welcomes it,” Pelosi said of Russian interference. “It’s wrong. But, again, forget him.”
