Astrologers predict August 21 solar eclipse will bring “downfall” to Trump

The mainstream media seems eager to report on almost anything that could shed negative light on President Donald Trump. Their newest “nothing-burger” comes in the form of looking to the stars for dirt on the president.

Come August 21, a solar eclipse will cast a shadow about 70 miles wide on the United States. This eclipse has already received major attention because of its rarity, but Newsweek indulged the superstitious in an article Saturday that highlighted fringe theories from popular astrologists about how the eclipse signals the demise of President Trump.

Astrologer Debra DeLeo-Moolenaar, who credits a witch in Salem for attracting her to the field, explained to Newsweek that the U.S. is in a dramatic period, and that the eclipse “can be expected to spark this frustration and quite possibly set it off.”

She believes that the moon represents the common people, and the sun represents the leader, suggesting that the common people will revolt against Trump.

Wade Caves, an astrological consultant, notes that “a lot of astrologers are expecting some kind of downfall, some kind of ruin, some kind of difficulty” based on all of the factors at play. President Trump was born during a lunar eclipse, which also apparently makes him “more susceptible to the power of eclipses” by astrologers’ standards.

Caves says the impact will reveal itself over the next two years because the eclipse will take around two hours to cross the continent, and argues that it’s “very possible that by this time next year, we’re looking at the reality of Trump not being in office.” Caves believes, “with reasonable assurance” that these charts “make it difficult to imagine Trump has smooth sailing ahead.”

Marjorie Orr, another astrologer, pointed out that the eclipse in question is part of a series of eclipses that occurred in years where major political events happened: President Bill Clinton’s impeachment, the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan, President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, FDR’s death, and the attempted assassination of President William Taft.

Astrology blogger Eugene Johnson predicted back in April that the eclipse doesn’t suggest that the U.S. is threatened by war, but “alerts us to be prepared for some kind of significant, perhaps shattering, event here in America.”
