[WATCH] Jimmy Fallon parodies political ‘House of Cards’ with ‘dangerous’ world of late night hosts

Welcome to the House of Cue Cards.

It was parody time on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Tuesday night, when the comedian spoofed the popular Netflix drama “House of Cards.”

“The cue cards must be right,” Fallon drawled. “They are the life-vest in this ocean of televised jokery.”

Breaking the fourth wall in typical Frank Underwood-style, Fallon walked the audience through the finer points of TV lingo, like “last looks,” and phone calls.

“A phone call is when someone calls you on the phone,” he explained calmly, in case you have been living under a rock for the past hundred years or so and didn’t know.

Fallon is setting out to uphold a legacy and no one — not even joke writers lost on their way to the “Orange is the New Black” parody room — can hold him back.

Sharing an e-cigarette with the woman he “love[s] more than you love your friend’s Netflix password,” Fallon acknowledges that this is a difficult and perhaps dangerous task. It might even earn him some enemies.

Some old scores need to be settled in person.
