Donald Trump slammed Mitt Romney’s criticism of the billionaire’s presidential campaign during Thursday night’s debate.
Romney delivered a speech on Thursday morning lambasting Trump’s candidacy as dangerous for the country.
When asked how Trump answered Romney’s detailed criticism, Trump replied that Romney was a “failed candidate.”
“He failed miserably and it was an embarrassment to everyone including the Republican Party. He went away it looked like he went away on a vacation last month,” Trump said. “I guess he wants to be relevant, he wants to be back in the game.”
Trump continued to ague that he agrees with Romney that free trade is “great, but not when they’re beating us so badly.”
Fox News anchor Chris Wallace then asked Trump about his refusal to disavow support from David Duke, a white supremacist, and asked for Trump’s thoughts on the Ku Klux Klan.
“What are your views on the Ku Klux Klan and white supremacists?” Wallace asked.
“I totally disavow the Ku Klux Klan,” Trump said. “I totally disavow David Duke, I’m doing it now for two weeks. This is now, you’re probably about the 18th person to ask me this question.”
Trump then urged the audience to look to his Twitter account for more information.
