Marco Rubio delivered a performance in Dallas Friday that would have made Donald Trump proud—if Trump hadn’t been the target.
The Florida senator, fresh off a debate in which he went hard after Trump, mockingly read the Republican frontrunner’s tweets after the debate performance, including one in which Trump misspelled the word “choker” to describe Rubio. (In recounting it, Rubio actually spelled Trump’s mistake correctly.) He then told a story about what he saw Trump doing backstage at the debate.
“He was having a meltdown,” Rubio said. “He had this little makeup thing applying, like, makeup around his moustache because he had one of those sweat mustaches.” Watch the video below:
