Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) pushed back Tuesday against claims that she projects a fake “street girl” persona, calling the criticism racist while appearing on The View.

The remarks stem from comments made by Vice President JD Vance at a Turning Point USA event in December, where he told the audience, “The record speaks for itself. She wants to be a senator, though her street girl persona is about as real as her nails.”
