Report: No significant intel from Yemen raid that killed SEAL

A January raid by U.S. Navy SEALs has garnered no significant intelligence, according to a report.

One SEAL and a number of children died in the operation, the first authorized by President Trump.

Pentagon officials had said the raid produced “actionable intelligence,” but according to a report by NBC News, officials were not aware of any.

The Pentagon also denied an al Qaeda leader was the “secret” target of the raid, which took place just over a week into Trump’s presidency.

The father of the Navy SEAL killed in the Yemen raid said he refused to meet with Trump.

“I told them I didn’t want to make a scene about it, but my conscience wouldn’t let me talk to him,” Bill Owens, the father of Chief Petty Officer William “Ryan” Owens, told the Miami Herald.

Owens died and four other Americans were wounded in the raid, which has also been criticized by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
