Hillary Clinton’s running mate Sen. Tim Kaine received his first classified intelligence briefing Thursday. The Democratic vice presidential nominee and Virginia senator met with officials in New York, according to multiple reports late Thursday.
Kaine is expected to only receive one briefing before the election because of the knowledge he already has from his positions on the Senate Armed Services and Senate Foreign Relations Committees.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Donald Trump’s vice presidential nominee, is slated to receive his first of probably two briefings from Indianapolis on Friday.
The Republican nominee has had two briefings since the GOP convention in late July. Former secretary of state Clinton has received one.
