Man killed in 2-car crash in Anne Arundel

An Annapolis man was killed in a two-vehicle collision, police said.

Brian Michael Hendricks, 21, was a driver of one of the cars and was pronounced dead after he was taken to a hospital, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

About 8:55 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the Harry S. Truman Parkway east of Coover Road. An investigation suggests that Hendricks was driving a 1999 Honda Civic eastbound on the parkway when he lost control on a curve. His car crossed the center line and struck a 2011 Toyota Venza.

The Toyota’s driver, 33-year-old Julia Ann Bauguess, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The passenger in the Honda, 20-year-old Garrett Randall Sullivan, was hospitalized in serious but stable condition, authorities said.

Police believe that rain and wet roads might have been factors in the crash.
