Russian President Vladimir Putin said Saturday he thinks the Russia-Ukraine war “is coming to an end,” the same day a three-day ceasefire between the two countries went into effect.

President Donald Trump announced the ceasefire on Friday, saying it would be in effect over the weekend and through Monday. The ceasefire started the same day Russia held its Victory Day Parade, an annual military celebration that commemorates the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
