‘F–k this flag’: Anti-Trump protester antagonizes vet daughter outside DC hotel opening

Tensions escalated quickly Wednesday when the adult daughter of an Army veteran expressed her outrage over anti-Donald Trump protesters who defaced an American flag outside the grand opening of the Republican presidential nominee’s new D.C. hotel.

“My father fought for this country in the Army, this is a disgrace,” the unidentified Florida woman shouted at protesters holding an American flag written over with quotes from Trump’s infamous hot mic video talking about women.

A younger anti-Trump protester told her she did not understand history and that America was not “God-given” but “taken,” and the sacrifices of American soldiers were “bullshit.”

“Fuck this nation, it’s not a God-given nation,” the woman who identified herself as Charlise Michelle Jones told the veteran’s daughter.

Soon, the confrontation escalated to a face-to-face shouting match in which Jones told the woman, “Fuck the American flag, that fucking flag is bullshit.”

The protests were part of a larger effort, organized by labor unions and liberal activist groups, centered around the ribbon-cutting of the new Trump International Hotel, a few blocks from the White House.
