Kaley Cuoco jokes about ‘anti-feminist stance’

Ut oh! Kaley Cuoco is going to manage to anger feminists again — well, unless she makes them laugh first.

Along with her co-stars Josh Gad and Kevin Hart from the upcoming film “The Wedding Ringer,” Cuoco presented the award for “favorite comedic movie actress” at the 2015 People’s Choice Awards Wednesday.

“Kaley, are you sure you want to do that category given your anti-feminism stance?” asked Gad, referring to Cuoco’s recent Redbook magazine interview during which she admitted she is not a feminist.

“Yeah, I have to,” Cuoco deadpanned in response. “It’s part of my apology tour.”

When asked during the interview with Redbook if she considers herself a feminist, Cuoco answered, “Is it bad if I say no?”

“It’s not really something I think about,” she continued. “Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around. … I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that’s because I’ve never really faced inequality.”

Outspoken feminists, of course, were not happy, prompting Cuoco to apologize and insist that her statements were taken out of context.

Apparently, people weren’t that mad. Cuoco, who stars in “The Big Bang Theory,” nabbed the award for “favorite comedic TV actress” Wednesday night.
