Lombardo said Monday that more than 50 people have died and more than 400 others were injured in the attack.
Law enforcement has identified 64-year-old Stephen Paddock as the suspected gunman who shot hundreds of people at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival around 10 p.m. local time Sunday.
The shooting is the largest deadly mass shooting to take place in modern U.S. history. Forty-nine people died and more than 50 others were injured in the 2016 attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
