Republican Bobby Charles and Democrat Hannah Pingree are set to face off in Maine’s gubernatorial race this fall after final vote tabulations came through from the primary held over a week ago.
The Associated Press called both primary races just before 2 a.m. Friday, June 19, 10 days after the primary. Maine is a ranked choice state, so after no candidate won 50% of either primary outright on primary election day, election officials had to go to a ranked choice runoff.
