A 65-year-old woman was taken into custody Tuesday after she injured at least three people with a “sword-like object,” authorities said.
The incident took place before noon in the southern German town of Weiden in der Oberpfalz, according to a report.
The Bavarian town rests near the Czech border.

When authorities arrived, the woman, whose identity has not been confirmed, was being restrained by onlookers, the report noted.
At least three people were injured in the woman’s alleged rampage.
Two men, aged 46 and 61, were transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical care.
No one sustained life-threatening injuries, and one of the men has been released by the hospital, the report noted.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and a motive has not been released.
