Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha boasted that the 2026 FIFA World Cup is showcasing the United States at its best, as international fans increasingly embrace American culture.

“We are living in the greatest country in the world, the most wealthy country in the world, and the most fun country in the world,” Concha said Saturday on Fox News. “It’s no argument. That’s not an opinion. That’s a stone-cold fact.”

The 2026 World Cup is being co-hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament began on June 11.

As fans from around the world descend on North America, many European visitors have embraced American culture, sharing their experiences at iconic U.S. restaurant chains and other uniquely American attractions.

One German fan shared his experience on X at a Waffle House in Cleveland, Georgia, declaring it a 10/10.

Another fan shared his appreciation for 7-Eleven’s iconic Big Gulps on X, saying, “Not gonna lie, Big Gulps from 7/11 are easily one of my favourite things I’ve discovered in America so far.”

Concha noted that the World Cup is one of the few events capable of bringing people from every corner of the globe together. As the U.S. hosts millions of fans, Concha argued that the tournament is helping showcase the country’s culture, hospitality, and energy to a worldwide audience.

“At this point, it is the beautiful game, and this is where the world really comes together,” Concha said.
