Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine criticized COVID-19 restrictions onstage during a Wednesday concert in Camden, New Jersey.
“Look around you, guys. Look to your right, look to your left, and look how wonderful this is,” the 60-year-old heavy metal musician told the crowd. “We’re all here together … We’re not in f***ing bags. We’re not freaking out, and we’re not yelling at people, ‘Wear your f***ing mask.’”
Some in the crowd were heard chanting, “f*** Joe Biden” and “U-S-A, U-S-A.”
“See the thing right now, what’s going on is tyranny,” Mustaine continued. “This is called tyranny. Look it up when you get home. And tyranny isn’t only in government. Tyranny right now is in the schools, and tyranny is in the medical business.”
“We have the power, especially us heavy … metal fans, we have the power to change things,” he said. “If you look what happened in the Middle East right now … I said it a long time ago with this next song, ‘Holy Wars.’”

Rapper Busta Rhymes recently had similar comments for his audience regarding restrictions meant to stem the spread of COVID-19.
”This is my second show in front of human life in the last 15 f***ing months,” the rapper told his fans during a performance in June. “COVID can suck a d*** … All these little weird-a** government policies and mandates suck a d***. Stop trying to take our civil liberties away.”
