The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has released images of the suspect in the shooting that took place during a Lunar New Year celebration Saturday night.
The man is described as an Asian adult male with a dark complexion who is roughly 5’10” and 150 lbs. He was wearing a black leather jacket, beanie, and glasses in the photos released by police.
Police said he has been identified as a homicide suspect and “should be considered armed and dangerous.” Officials have not released the name of the suspect.
A standoff in which tactical teams surrounded a white van with a man inside occurred in Torrance, California, Sunday. The SWAT team breached the van at approximately 12:53 p.m. PST Sunday, with the Los Angeles Times reporting the man was found dead and may be connected to the shooting investigation.
Police have not confirmed whether the man inside the vehicle is the shooting suspect.
