Last summer, I went out on a date with a woman, a dame, if you would, to a Philadelphia Phillies baseball game. We had amazing seats, saw an amazing game, and the Phillies won. A great time was had by all. While walking home after the game, we came to a street corner where the traffic light had just turned red. Inexplicably, my date, an avowed feminist, insisted on walking through the light. Even more inexplicably, she opted to do so as a car was quickly driving down the street.
Being the gallant, chivalrous man that I am, I put my arm out to prevent her from getting hit by an automobile. Her response still baffles me to this day.
