Three Secret Service officials were placed on leave in a misconduct investigation, the details of which aren’t public.
The suspension included Secret Service communications chief Anthony Guglielmi. The trio, all of whom are in the Secret Service’s communications office, have lost their security clearances and access to their work devices, as is protocol in misconduct investigations.

“Three non-law enforcement personnel at the U.S. Secret Service have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into potential misconduct,” an agency spokesman told the Washington Examiner in a statement. “Per policy, this incident is being investigated by the Office of Professional Responsibility. We are unable to comment further at this time.”
He added that the agency is “committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in fulfilling our zero-fail mission of protecting the President and other high-level government officials,” and that their “critical work demands that our workforce maintain an unwavering commitment to duty, honesty, and courage in all aspects of their jobs.”
The lack of any reason or details has stirred speculation, coming at a time of increased attention as President Donald Trump and his family have been targeted by repeated assassination threats by Iran.
