A new poll on data centers shows that less than 10% of the country views the facilities as a top-three political issue.

Just 7% of the 1,004 registered voters surveyed listed data centers as one of the three most important current political issues, while 12% listed artificial intelligence, according to a new survey released by the Rainey Center for Public Policy. The survey was conducted between Sept. 10 and 14, right after former Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon quit his role and warned of the existential threat of AI, sparking a nationwide conversation about AI regulation.
