Having an uncle that is also the vice president of the United States probably has its benefits. Unfortunately for Jamie Biden, not many of them pertain to his career as a Hamptons DJ.
Joe Biden’s long-haired, beanie-wearing nephew has made a name for himself in the New York music scene. He DJs regularly in Montauk and is the lead guitarist for a rock band called Bloody Social in his spare time.
Before turning to music, Jamie Biden studied international relations at Georgetown and attended Fordham Law School. He has since focused his attention away from his political roots and onto musical endeavors. He is currently building a recording studio out of an old barn on top of a countryside hill in New York.
Jamie Biden attended President Obama’s first inauguration, but as a guest, not the event’s DJ. Vice President Biden has yet to extend that invitation or even to see his nephew perform.
“He has more important things to do at the moment than coming to see me play for now,” Biden told the New York Times.
Important things like sharing milkshakes with Obama and doling out dating advice apparently.
