A federal appeals court on Sunday temporarily halted the reinstatement of Roger Rogoff as the Seattle area’s top federal prosecutor, pausing a lower court ruling that blocked President Donald Trump’s decision to fire him.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted the Justice Department’s request for an administrative stay on Oct. 4, keeping Rogoff from returning as U.S. attorney for the Western District of Washington while the court considers whether to suspend his reinstatement during the appeal.
