DOJ investigating Cassidy Hutchinson over House Jan. 6 Committee testimony

Published Updated

The Justice Department is investigating former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson for allegedly lying to Congress in her testimony to the House Jan. 6 Committee in 2022.

Hutchinson’s testimony before the defunct House select committee in June 2022, which included some of the most damaging accounts about President Donald Trump’s actions leading up to the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, has been disputed by other witnesses. The DOJ is investigating Hutchinson, a source familiar with the situation confirmed to the Washington Examiner, but the source did not say whether subpoenas have been drawn up.
