Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) canceled plans to attend a post-midterm elections analysis event at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., after the outgoing congresswoman faced significant backlash for her endorsement of former Michigan Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers.
GWU’s Graduate School of Political Management is set to host an event Thursday night examining what the 2026 election results mean for America’s political future. Stevens was announced as a panelist last month, but the school sent out a notice on the day of the event informing attendees that she will no longer be attending.
