Anti-Trump PAC expands ad blitz to N.H.

CONCORD, N.H. — A newly minted political action committee that is running ads against Donald Trump in Iowa has decided to expand its effort to the first-in-the-nation primary state.

Earlier this week, Our Principles PAC, led by former Mitt Romney aide Katie Packer, announced a seven-figure TV ad buy in Iowa aimed at making voters question the Republican presidential front-runner’s conservative credentials.

Now, the group plans to run the same ad on the airwaves in New Hampshire, where voters will cast their ballots in less than two weeks.

According to a source familiar with the PAC’s activities, the 30-second ad, titled “Tough Questions,” will begin airing Friday in the Granite State and run through the Feb. 9 primary. The PAC has also developed a 60-second web version for targeted advertising on the internet.

Packer says the ad “clearly exposes more inconsistencies of Donald Trump while raising serious questions Mr. Trump doesn’t want to discuss in a campaign debate.”

“Trump’s entire campaign claims that he ‘says it like it is,’ yet we are finding that over and over, on core Republican issues, Trump says different things to different audiences,” she added in a statement.

“More and more, Trump appears to be the kind of politician voters fear the most,” Packer said.

A spokeswoman for Trump’s campaign did not return the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
