Last night in an interview with John King, Karl Rove spoke about how he initially didn’t want Dick Cheney on the Bush ticket.
“He was set on Cheney for vice president, and I thought it was a bad idea,” Rove told CNN’s John King in an interview on “John King, USA” at 7 p.m.
“He (Bush) was focused on a governing decision and I was focused on politics,” Rove remembered.
“Cheney and I became great friends, but for a moment there I thought, ‘Great I’ve angered the future vice president who walks around heavily armed.'” Rove chuckled.
