Note to Donald Trump supporters: Expect to see a lot more of your candidate on CNN and MSNBC.
The Republican presidential front-runner announced on Twitter Wednesday that he will discontinue any appearances on Fox News until the leading cable news network adjusts to a more complimentary tone in their coverage of him.
“Fox News has been treating me very unfairly [and] I have therefore decided that I won’t be doing any more Fox shows for the foreseeable future,” Trump tweeted Wednesday, just days after calling into the network’s morning show and appearing on “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”
.@oreillyfactor was very negative to me in refusing to to post the great polls that came out today including NBC. @FoxNews not good for me!

News of the temporary boycott comes on the heels of Trump’s latest twitter tirade against Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly. The New York billionaire repeatedly went after the two leading Fox News personalities on Twitter earlier this week.
“I’m having a really hard time watching Fox News,” Trump tweeted Monday.
During an interview on the “Late Show” with comedian Stephen Colbert on Tuesday evening, Trump said he’s begun to warm up to MSNBC while his opinion of Fox News has soured.
“The ‘moron’ has become a very nice guy,” Trump told Colbert, referring to MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd.
Fox News released a statement Wednesday afternoon condemning Trump’s knee-jerk reaction to their cancellation of a forthcoming segment featuring him on “The O’Reilly Factor.”
“When coverage doesn’t go [Trump’s] way, he engages in personal attacks on our anchors and hosts,” the network wrote, adding that “he doesn’t seem to grasp that candidates telling journalists what to ask is not how the media works in this country.”
In comparison to other GOP candidates, the former “Celebrity Apprentice” host has dominated the cable news circuit since announcing his presidential bid. It remains to be seen whether his hiatus from Fox News will impact his popularity.
