Only a third of the nation’s business leaders believe that the country is on the right economic track, but many more are optimistic about the future economy under President Trump, according to a new Zogby Analytics survey.
“At the moment only a third think the country is on the right track and 45 percent think it’s going in the wrong direction,” said the survey analysis.
“Business leaders were more optimistic when it came to the economy over the next four years; 48 percent thought things would go well,” it added.
Some 301 executives with businesses that have 100 or more employees were generally split on Trump and his executive orders so far, results that generally parallel voter polls.
