2 injured in East Texas attack by pit bulls

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) — Two pit bulls will be euthanized after mauling an 8-year-old East Texas girl and a woman who used her body to try to protect the child.

Nacogdoches (na-kuh-DOH’-chihs) County Sheriff Jason Bridges said Wednesday that the dogs apparently escaped through a hole in a fence.
