Nikki Haley huddles with Trump ahead of UN exit

Outgoing United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley reportedly met with President Trump at the White House on Tuesday.

Haley solicited the meeting to touch base on a variety of topics, Bloomberg’s Jennifer Jacobs tweeted.

The meeting was not on Trump’s public schedule for the day. The White House did not immediately return a request for comment.

Haley is set to leave her post at the U.S. Mission to the U.N. by the end of the year, and so far, it is unclear who Trump will pick to be her successor.

Reports this week revealed Haley and her husband Michael sold their five-bedroom house in Lexington, S.C., for $405,000.

The couple, however, has not lived at the property for a while, and the Post and Courier reports she plans to stay in New York where her son attends high school while she finishes her book.

Haley, who previously served a governor of South Carolina, has downplayed speculation she is considering whether to challenge Trump in 2020.
