Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Joseph Lieberman, I-Conn warned Tuesday of a “lone wolf” terrorist attack in the wake of Osama bin Laden’s death by U.S. military forces.

“All of our homeland security and intelligence agencies are alert to those dangers and using every tool that they have to detect and if necessary prevent such an attack,” Lieberman said. “My concern is a so-called lone wolf, a single individual who has been radicalized, will mobilize him- or herself to take action at home against his or her community.”

Lieberman called on the public to be vigilant and report to the police any suspicious activity immediately.

“That includes if you see suspicious behavior of a friend or family member,” he added.
