A Montgomery County high school student beat out 14 other teens over two weeks to win the “Jeopardy!” Teen Tournament — and the $75,000 grand prize that came with it. But the best part of Raynell Cooper’s victory, which aired Wednesday evening, is by and large his Twitter account.
Cooper, a Rockville resident and senior at Richard Montgomery High School, has been retweeting comments from viewers and responding to them with sass. He has also joked that he has “tiger blood,” like This Week’s Crazy, Charlie Sheen; and was amused to find himself compared with “a fat A-Rod.”
Our top five favorite Cooper tweets since his big win:
#5: Burrrrn.
RayofSunshine28: “Look who’s in the lead now! and now you’ve got this purple sparkly thing to hold on to!” Wheel doesn’t even make sense to Pat Sajak.
#4: Gyrations?
(retweeted) hotterthanjuly: If Raynell didn’t spend 3 seconds gyrating his entire body before pressing that signal, Kailyn and Raya wouldn’t stand a chance. #jeopardy
#3: In response to a “hater” who called him a “plug”
RayOfSunshine28: I’m a smarmy plug and a whoremo with ‘tude. I LOVE TWITTER.
#2: This actually happened
(retweeted) scrimmagechris: i am happy #raynell won. he was going so hard he broke the buzzer.
#1: Now, back to being your typical MontCo scholar…
RayOfSunshine28: Plan A: do homework at home #planbetter: copy it during history.
Congratulations Raynell!
