If politicians are famously un-hip, the proof should be in their iPod.
We caught up with Rep. James Moran, D-Va., recently, and he told us, “I listen to 1960s music and Frank Sinatra.” His favorite song? “When I Was Seventeen,” a Sinatra classic. But, Moran says he doesn’t have much time to enjoy his music. “I usually use my iPod when I am traveling and when my son and daughter aren’t using it.”

Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., told us, “I am a Bono fan,” but wouldn’t elaborate. “I’m not saying if I have an iPod. I’m not talking about anything, only important issues.” What an iGrump.
And you won’t catch Moran dancing like the silhouettes in the iTunes commercials: “I’ve had enough humiliating experiences.
Maybe if I lost 60 pounds. … My body isn’t something I want to distribute throughout YouTube. I don’t really dance to iPod songs anyway. At my age it’s about saving oneself from embarrassment.”
