A woman who interrupted President Trump’s campaign rally in Battle Creek, Michigan, stuck her middle finger in the air as she was escorted out.
Trump had only begun his remarks in Kellogg Arena before a woman disrupted the event.
“Get her out,” Trump said. “You’re about to hear the greatest speech you’ve ever heard, and that’s going to be the publicity because all the fake news back there will say ‘massive riot.'”
Trump smiled as the woman was removed by police. She continued to flip off the crowd and yell profanities as she left the arena.
“There’s a slob, there’s a real slob,” Trump said. “She’ll get hell when she gets back home with mom.”
Trump lambasted “the fake news,” who he said does not give fair coverage of his presidency or rallies.
“There’s one disgusting person who made a horrible gesture with the wrong finger, right? Now, they won’t say that, the fake news. If one of us did that, it would be the biggest story ever.”
The president then suggested the police be tougher.
“The police came up, they want to be so politically correct, so they don’t grab her wrist and get her out. They say, ‘Oh, will you please come? Will you please come with me?’ And then she gives the guy the finger. You’ve got to get a little stronger than that, folks.”
Trump went on to highlight the $1.5 billion the Ford Motor company announced it will invest in the Detroit area.
